Psst. Hey Blogger People, Abby is my main character in my novel. Just wanted to clarify. Yeah, I didn't believe it either, but she totally helped me finish my novel. She is DA BOMB!!

I am a Nano winner!

50,065 words! I did it, folks.

I'm really not sure what else to do. Uploading the manuscript got a little tricky. But I have 50,000 words. Give or take 65 words or so.
Now if you will excuse me, I have to clean my kitchen.
I will blog more about this later.
But first a little song I found on You Tube. The Nanowrimo song. Quite clever actually. (I got stuck in the 30,000's for a while too.)

If I can write a novel, anybody can write a novel.
Now I am off to edit this puppy.
What a chore. I like the way I ended it though....Maybe someday I will be in print. I am halfway there already. :)

Monday Mingle 9-30

Yeah! It's time for Monday Mingle again! I am trying to get 50 K words in my tomorrow. And I think I will do it too. Almost at 45 K. Thanksgiving was a BUST to write over. I am a social butterfly at heart and I talked too much. Geez.
Anyway, without further ado, and under five minutes...YEAH! Here is my version of Monday Mingle. Placed on my blog on Sunday night because I am just so cool...that's all.

Now back to the writing! :)) Celebration post to follow!

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Sorry, can't Blog right now--I am trying to make Nano deadline!

It seems to me all I have to do to gain followers is NOT post! I have gained 2 followers in the past two days. Wow. I must be good. I might just make Nano yet. I might be burning the midnight oil and I might look like this before I am done...

**Thanks to Google Images for the above image.**

I'll be back before too long. Hopefully I will have 50 K too. Then we will have cause to celebrate. That and Christmas is well on it way. I had a wonderful fabulous Thanksgiving holiday AND I did NOT go shopping on Black Friday. (Yes, I was smart. I slept in my bed instead.) Back to writing AGAIN I say.

Thank YOU people you just followed me. I promise, I will have some really good posts in the future. (Just wait until AFTER Nano, Ok?)

HappyThanksgiving!

Just a little Charlie Brown and Snoopy for your Thanksgiving!
It is under 5 minutes.
I am thankful for great cartoons for Charlie Brown. :))
I love the attack of the chair that Snoopy has.
Hope everyone has a blessed day with those around you. Eat lots of turkey and pie!
Exercise starts NEXT week! ;)
I am also thankful my feast does NOT include popcorn, toast and M&M's. :)

**Thanks to You-tube for the video!**

Okay, Twitter Fans or NOT so Twitter fans...

(Thank you to Google images for the cartoon. I heart Google, don't YOU?

Okay. I'm here to give you the 411 on why Twitter is so cool and WHY you have to jump in the Twitter pool.

(First if I go on a tangent at any time during this post it is because my head is swimming with at least 50 different blog post ideas. ACK! I just cannot keep up with my head.)

I'll try and stay on task just for you though.

TOP 10 reasons you should join Twitter:

(I'm gonna list this like Dave Letterman's TOP ten countdown, OKAY? Just 'cause I'm cool like that. You can thank me later. *Hint in the comment section*)

10- It is an exercise in wit. Short funny sentences that will amuse you for sure.

9- There are celebrities that do Twitter. (Case in point, Hank Azaria tweeted at me the other day. And the @TheEllenShow just started following me! I'm waiting for a tweet any day now. She has like OVER 3 million followers.)

8- I use twitter. Wouldn't you just LOVE to tweet at your good bloggy buddy--Aquamarine76?

7- Supah Twitters. And if she does it, EVERYONE should do it.

6- IT's exciting.:)

5- It gains followers WAY faster than a blog does.

4- You can link your NEW blog posts via Twitter.

3- You can post HAWT pictures of Taylor Lautner on Twitter. (Sorry people, it's just a crush I have. I'll get over it soon, I hope.) :)

2- Just for the sheer sake of saying to people, "Yeah,of course I twitter, AND I get it"

1-The number one reason to twitter is, It's like sticky notes all over again. You have to be short, precise, witty and to the point with twitter. If it too long. you can't post it. :))

That's it. That's what I got to tell you about Twitter. If I had a cool cell phone, like a Blackberry or an I-phone I'd tell you, you could update your twitter from there. Well you still can, it's just that I don't. 'Cause I don't have a fancy high tech phone.

I was going to say something else but I forgot what is was. DARN! I hate it when that happens.

P.S. If you download Tweetdeck to your computer it is AWESOMER. Yes, that's a word. In my book it is. I think that is what I was going to tell you. AND you can update your Facebook account--from Twitter. Tweetdeck is what I have.

And get this. Come a little closer. I have a secret.

Yeah. Okay. **Whispering** I have more Twitter followers than Blog followers. Isn't that crazy? You people need to ALL follow me on my blog. We'd have fun.

Okay, Tirade done. Hope you enjoyed it.

Don't forget to keep Anissa in your prayers. She suffered a massive stroke last week. She was a blogger. AND a Twitter person too. Her hubby updates her blog now. :))

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!! I may or may not blog tomorrow. I need to get baking. I'm doing the potatoes and rolls for Thanksgiving. YUM!

Come get your sticky note addiction groove on...

**YAWN**

I am so grateful for Sticky notes. 'Cause if I had to write an actual post today it wouldn't go over well. I'm tired.
Thank YOU for all the support you gave me on yesterday's Monday Mingle Fun wasn't it? I laughed so hard, I cried.
Here are this week's version of my sticky notes.

Hoped you enjoyed reading them as much as I like making them. :)
I also hope EVERYONE has a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING and remember to make it a safe one. And if you happened to be Canadian, have some pumpkin pie. I mean, we all could go for a slice of pumpkin pie right now right? :)

Monday Mingle Nov 23, 2009

Are you guys ready to laugh? My husband and I are about to answer some marriage questions for Eighty MPH MOM Monday Mingle. We didn't take the serious way out either. This is purely for your entertainment. Sit back, relax and laugh! Enjoy!
These are the questions we had to answer:

1. Men: When your spouse asks you "how does this outfit make me look" - how do you respond?
Ladies: Do you really want him to answer honestly?

2. Both: What is one thing you should always do to keep your spouse/partner happy? What do you do/say to avoid friction in your relationship?

3. Both: What were the first thoughts about your spouse/partner that came to mind when you first met him/her?

4. Both: What is your favorite physical feature of your spouse/partner?

5. Both: What are the key ingredients to a successful marriage/relationship?

6. Are you ready for more Speedy Cop movie quotes?

CLICK HERE FOR THE I'M THANKFUL POST...:))

I'm Thankful For...

I am hooking up with Supah and letting y'all know what four things I am grateful for.

1. I am grateful for my computer. Because without it, I would not be able to write my novel, or blog, or email my friends.

2. I am grateful for other blogger's memes. Because when I can't think of a totally AWESOME original post to write (namely because I have novel brain and can't think of anything else) I join in to other people's ideas and link my post up to theirs. YEAH!

3. I am thankful for the compassion and generosity I am seeing in the blog world lately. Lots of people I know have blogged about Anissa Mayhew. (You know the blogger who had a stroke this past week.) I am impressed with all the support she is getting. Wow! I have yet to find out the page where her hubby is updating her condition. I am still looking. (I guess I was one of THOSE people who was not familar with her BEFORE the stroke...Yeah,yeah, I live under a rock...And that rock has a computer and I am writing a novel...:)) If any of you know where I can find updates, leave a link below for me in the comments, either that or email me. THANKS!

4. I am grateful for the area I live right now. Many of you know I have recently moved from COOOOOLD Provo, UT to SUNNY and WARM Mesquite Nevada. YEAH! I love warm temperatures and I hate getting cold.

5. Yes, I know I was suppose to end with four, but I got another favor to ask of you. Y'all know Supah Right? Well she is doing this AWESOME thing and she is helping raise money for an auction for friends's son Jaden who is battling cancer. Now I know there are A LOT of you who are creative. If you knit, sew, quilt, bake, scrapbook, have connections to people who own stores, Ask these people to donate gift card for this auction. Or I guess you can donate a gift card personally. Or make something for FREE. Whatever you do, it is a noble cause. Just get out there and do it. Go to her blog, read about Jaden's story and then decide to do something about it. And if you can't do anything, you could pray for Jaden. Everyone needs an extra prayer or two this season.

Have a great weekend you guys! Love ya! MUAH!

P.S. Here is Anissa's website! Hope for Peyton.org Pretty sure this is where the hubby gives updates. Go check it out!

Describe your life in six words.

I found a Saturday meme that I like. You all can play along if you wish. I found it from Better in Bulk. However it's not her thing. It is Show MY Face's Saturday Meme.

And since my brain is so DEAD from writing about 2,600 words in one sitting...(I've got more to write today still) I decided to try it out. Here are my six words.

"I just broke 34K in Nanowrimo." (Yes, 34K is one word in my book.)

Peace out, y'all!

Totally Positive Friday!

A Daily dose of Toni has decided that there is too much negative in the world today and we need to be positive for at least one day. I agree. She decided to kick off her Fridays with Positive Friday! And since she LOVES to vlog, (I do too) I couldn't resist and I decided to join in again this week.
It's five minutes and 25 seconds this time. Not too bad, really. So without further ado, Here is my vlog for this week!

Stay tuned for Monday 'cause that's when I do Monday Mingle. And this week my husband is joining me. :))

P.S. I think the bite I took of the pie was a wee bit too big. Ahh well! It was delicious!!

P.P.S. Still doing Nano. 29,000 words and still going...:)

Thursday, November 19, 2009

I think I almost peed my pants over this one....But first some business to take care of.

I didn't want to do this. Several of you bloggers have already done this post. But I must get it out of my system. They say writing is good for the soul, right? Well, Okay here I go.

1. Please TURN off your word verification. It's under Comment Moderation or something like that. Do you know how annoying it is when you comment on the 500th blog and word verification is on? **The BIG Bloggers** don't use it, you don't have to either.

2. Enable your email. When you leave a comment on my blog, I LOVE to email at you back. I can't if it says: noreply-comment@blogger.com. Grrr, I am really beginning to hate those words. I usually notice these words AFTER I have typed up a reply to you. Then I moan and groan and sigh a lot. It's not pretty. If you have trouble doing it, I'll be happy to talk you through it. Heck, I'll even Skype you through the problem. Just make sure email is there..PULLLLEEESE!

3. It must be said that Mommy is in the Bathroom is SOO frickin hilarious!! I love it! She skyped with Supah and it was hilarious! Go check it out NOW!

(Well wait until I am least done. OK?)

4. I think I am done ranting about the blogger/word verification/enable email crap. Turn it off, make sure a valid email is there. It makes me getting back to you a WHOLE LOT easier.

5. I'm still Nano *ing* but getting distracted. Would you people STOP being so funny so I can write already? Geez.

Enough said. Now let me get a funny pic for this post. 'Cause I hate all that complaining that was on here before. But I mean it, please adjust your blog NOW. Don't make me look you up...I'll sick my dog on you.

(HA! Wait a minute I don't have a dog, only cats with claws.) EVEN WORSE. :)

**Thanks to Google for the image** Maxine is a riot isn't she?

**Big Bloggers** In my book of good bloggers, they are Supah AND Chiefy AND Mommy is in the bathroom.

If they can turn word verification OFF and enable their email anybody can do it. And there is ALWAYS the delete key. It is YOUR blog after all. :)

PS. Thank you Chief for the blog gift. As soon as I figure out HOW to get it in my sidebar I'll put it there.

Wordless Wednesday...Hmm..ya think so?

**What do you say is that in my sweet 2 year old's hair? Somebody forgot and left the bathroom door open. No, it's not shampoo, it's toothpaste! My daughter used toothpaste like it was shampoo!**

Thought y'all might enjoy another Wordless Wednesday brought to you by Cluttered Brain.

P.S. Still working on my Nano novel. Made it past the halfway point! YEAH!

P.P.S. Still a Twitter addict. Yup, I still need therapy.

P.P.P.S. Still waiting for New Moon to come out. Any of you peeps live near Mesquite Nevada OR in St. George Utah and want to see the movie with me? I'd totally like to go with you. On one exception, Someone has to take a picture of me kissing Jacob on the movie poster. 'Cause I am soooo Team Jacob! Or Emmett. He is hot too. :)

P.P.P.P.S. Is that enough post scripts yet? No, not yet. This is the LAST ONE. If you have YET to make an appearance over at Adventures of a Wanna be Supah Mommy
HEAD on over there now! She's frickin AWESOME man! Plus maybe one day, I might get to Skype at her. And if she likes it, it might make an appearance on her blog. My new dream. :)

Also one more thing,Princess of Sarcasm "I Skyped with Princess of Sarcasm and I liked it." AND I have the T-shirt to prove it. Well I wish I had a T shirt. You guys just have to believe me. Honest. Sorry, no recordings. I'm not that techy cool like Supah. Not yet anyways.

"An Angel on Main Street" By Kathy Oram Peterson BOOK REVIEW

**Please indulge me for one more VLOG session. CLICK HERE FOR MONDAY MINGLE! THANKS!!**

Now read on fellow peeps! :)

This book is phenomenal! I just have to say everyone must read this book before Christmas. It really helps bring the Christmas Spirit back into our lives.
The story takes place in the 1950's. The main character is about 11 or 12 years old and lives with his mom and sister that has rheumatic fever. The beginning starts with Micah Connors giving away his last dollar that he was suppose to buy milk with for his little sister who is ill. From beginning to end, you will find yourself hoping that this little girl makes it, because she has so much faith and hope in baby Jesus.

The boy in the book lost his Dad a while ago. He misses him. But since his mother does not have a husband to take care of her, Micah assumes some responsibility and helps out. It is hard work. His mother works at the local restaurant in town. The family barely has food in the cupboards. Micah had trouble with playing craps in the town before. He wants to stay out of trouble in this book. However near the beginning Micah helps a new kid, Horace, out of a gambling bind by giving Horace his last dollar to pay off a debt.

Throughout the book a manger is being built on Main Street. No one knows who is doing this. (You find out in the end which character is doing it.) That's what got me in the end. When we find out the love this person has for the town despite how he is treated. This character has Christlike love for the people of the town.

This book made me feel hopeful. It made me feel the Christmas Spirit again. The gift of serving others. The feeling of love and warmth surrounds me as I tear up and cry at the end of the book. YES, this book needs a hankerchief to read it. (Don't let that discourage you from reading the book.) It ends well. It is only about 100 pages. It's the perfect book to read with your family at Christmas and every year during the holiday bustle.

Now that you have a snippet on what the book is about, go buy it! It doesn't cost much. It only has about 100 pages. And I promise you will LOVE it!

Here's a trailer for the book that is quite touching if my review didn't make you want to read it.:)

**Also I have received some excellent news regarding the book. The author, Kathi Peterson, is having a contest. Here's what it is all about in the author's words:
I'm also holding a contest called An Angel in Your Life Contest. Here's the lowdown on it. The contest runs from now until December 15th. Anyone can enter by simply emailing me at kathiorampeterso@yahoo.com and writing about an experience you have had with someone who became an angel in your life. The winner will be announced on my blog Kathi's Writing Nook.com.
A gift certificate from either Seagull Book or Deseret Book will be given to the winner and an "Angel" in his/her life. This contest celebrates the selfless, kind acts performed daily, many times unnoticed. If you are like me, many people have helped you through times of trouble. Let's face it, life is tough and the small acts of kindness shown to us by others needs to be remembered and celebrated especially during the holidays. Christmas brings out the best in people and I wanted to give others the opportunity to thank those who have touched their lives in a profound way. Hopefully this contest will remind us of the angels in our lives.**

P.S. I got so excited I put my "Angel experience" in the contest. It's for EVERYONE! YEAH! :)

Vlogging and why I think it rules...

Vlogging=taping yourself talking to your blog peeps. Like a talk show or something.

(Vlogging rules 'cause I say so. You get to meet the beloved people you read LIVE..well sorta. EVERYONE should do it. IT's fun!)

You all have heard about Vlogging? I saw a really awesome blog last Friday but did I write her blog down? Did I bookmark it? I only hope she does it again 'cause I follow her so I can find her again. It MIGHT have been Jenn over at Jenn and the crazies...I won't link her yet cause I want to be sure I have the right person.

MY question is this. What do YOU think of ME vlogging? Would you be open to watching ME talk to you instead of me type at you? LOL!

I am considering this very carefully. I would like to post the "vlog" Friday if I get enough support. (I already taped myself.) I hope you guys say GO for it!

So what do YOU think? Should I post my video of me? It will be entertaining...I actually sang to you. :) (Kinda makes you want to watch now, huh?)

It is about 7 minutes long. Hope that is not too long for you. Just leave me a comment below and let me know if you'd watch me via video. :)

I also wanted to list five things that I'm thankful for today:

1. All of you! You guys are great!
2. MY lovely laptop that I am currently writing my novel from.
3. My lovely 2 year old who puts washes her hair with toothpaste.
4. MY husband.
5. A roof over my head to keep me safe from the cold.

Don't forget--Is anyone interested in seeing an entertaining video of me talking to my bloggy friends? Leave a quick comment. THANKS! Love you guys!
