Still looking for that job with hours....

image obtained from Google Images. I hope you can see it. It's hilarious....
Well I'm trying not to be the one who complains a ton but I have a job...BUT because the resident census is down (People are taking care of their loved ones instead of sending them to live in a nursing home because of the BLASTED economy) I can't get hours at work.

*sigh*
It's really alright. I think I can pick up a few shifts elsewhere for the time being. I've applied to some Medical assistant jobs at the local hospital here in town and a few C.N.A. jobs elsewhere. I'll get something. In the meantime, hubby is working hard at a temp job 6 days a week, 10 hours a day in a town we just moved from...

*sigh* I know bummer. (Bummer that the job isn't closer. Not the money part.) He comes home Sat evening, then leaves to go back Mon morning. His mom lives in town so I still got help with my lovely girls though.

The power of positive thinking does me wonders. Really it does. In the fall, I'm hoping to have saved enough for a phlebotomy course coming to town (only 450 bucks!)....then I will be able to draw blood, do IV's...and stuff like that. I am also gonna get some guidance about my academic classes I have taken in the past. I need to find out if my classes are still good (prerequisites) for the nursing program. In 2003/2004 when I was actively pursuing school they were...but now HOLY FREAK it is 2011...Hmmm...I wonder. (Where does the time go anyway?)
I will be a nurse someday. And if it is gonna take me a while to get in I will just try every other medical job in the profession...I'm probably gonna be making a Perfectly Imperfect video today...due to Robyn at Robyn's Online world...so stay tuned...It's a vlog so it should be fun.....
Hope your life is good on your side of the world...Remember try and stay positive...laugh....'cause when you laugh you burn calories....
I'll talk to you REAL soon I'm sure...

MY Imperfectly perfect video...

You know perhaps you should look into caring for someone at home. Those pay really good money and you can set your own hours with a lot of them, cause in the long run private care is much cheaper on the family..

Ya I've looked into it. So far they want to pay WAY less than I make like 8 bucks an hour and a lot of them at least out here anyway want a live in person...I can't live in...No way...
I'll find something...

Nursing is a great profession. Keep after it. You'll make it. You are one smart cookie.

You have the ambition to succeed and I have no doubt that you will. That is quite the commute for your husband! I bet he gets exhausted.

I'm imperfectly perfect at unpacking too. I still have boxes in my living room from when we moved like 8 months ago.
It's true, we are all imperfect, but as long as we are trying to be better and working our hardest, then that is what's important. I have been getting reminded of that a lot lately. I have a much easier time forgiving imperfections in others than I am at forgiving imperfections in myself. But I am slowly starting to realize that I will be happier if I cut myself a little more slack, instead of expecting myself to do everything just right.
Anyway, was that deep, or what?

Thanks for doing a perfectly imperfect video too - I loved it! Can you share some of those M&Ms please? Yummy!

If I wasn't all behind on blog reading, I would have known what was going on....because here you are writing all about it! lol

I love the idea of imperfectly perfect! Genius.

I am PERFECT at eating M&Ms too!! If only I had some right now, I would prove it, but alas, I am M&M-less right now.

Unpacking sucks.

You will get just the very perfect job. I know it!

Also? You are perfectly awesome! True story.
